The Provost, Prof. Daniel Frimpong Ofori has received the final report from the Chairperson of the College of Humanities Cloth Design and Production Committee, Dr. Joana Boampong. The Committee was established by the Provost in October 2022 to design and produce a cloth for the College of Humanities. The committee has since its inception, worked assiduously to fulfill its mandate, as shown in previous reports detailing milestones of the cloth design and production process.

The Provost of the College of Humanities, Prof. Daniel Frimpong Ofori, has launched the IPO newsletter at a colourful welcome durbar held by the International Programmes Office (IPO) of the University of Ghana. The welcome durbar is an annual event organised by the IPO at the start of each academic year, to officially welcome students from different countries worldwide who are undertaking various programmes at the University of Ghana. This year’s ceremony, held on Saturday, 4th February 2023, was the first to be held since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Institute of Applied Science and Technology (IAST) has held a 5-day workshop with partners to explore various avenues of converting plastic waste into useful substances such as petrol, diesel, gas and other products.

The Centre for Gender Studies and Advocacy (CEGENSA) has been awarded a grant of $1.7 million by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) to set up an Africa-based Gender Technical Platform for Gender Responsive Malaria Advocacy and Policy.
