Professor Mary Setrana,  Director, Centre for Migration Studies, UG and  Chair of Forced Displacement in West Africa together with  partners from the African Union’s African Centre for the Study and Research on Migration (ACSRM) and Uppsala University, Sweden, paid a courtesy call on the Provost,  College of Humanities. The ACSRM was represented by the Director, Dr. Ibrahima Dia while Uppsala University was represented by Dr. Soorej Jose Puthoopparambil.

Professor Mary Setrana,  Director, Centre for Migration Studies, UG and  Chair of Forced Displacement in West Africa together with  Ramata Molo Thioune, a Senior Programme Manager of Research Centre for International Development (IDRC) of Canada, at its regional Office in Dakar for West and Central Africa paid a courtesy call on  the Provost,  College of Humanities, Prof. Dan Ofori. Ramata Thioune was in Ghana as part of IDRC’s monitoring of projects sited in the University of Ghana.

The College of Humanities Secretary on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, hosted a seminar on promotion guidelines for administrative and professional senior members of the college. The seminar, held at Seminar Room 2 in the Cedi Conference Centre aimed to provide valuable insights into key aspects of career advancement and equip participants with essential skills and knowledge for professional growth.

College of Humanities Secretariat Holds End of Year Staff Durbar

The College of Humanities (CoH) Secretariat, on December 22nd, 2023, held a staff durbar to round up the year’s activities. The durbar, which is the first of its kind to be held by the College, was aimed at: affording all CoH Secretariat staff the opportunity to reflect on their successes and failures; to strategise for the coming year; and to bond with each other. Under the auspices of the Memorandum of Agreement between the College of Humanities, University of Ghana and Tecno Mobile Limited, 34 Scholarships will be awarded to students at the College. The total amount of the scholarship fund is GHS 100,000.
