The School of Languages, College of Humanities, in collaboration with the Ghana Commission for UNESCO held a symposium on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, to commemorate UNESCO’s International Mother Language Day under the theme, ‘Multilingual Education: A Pillar of Intergenerational Learning.’ The program began with a spoken word performance and series of Ga language lullabies by Nii Adjetey Kpako, a level 300 Languages student.

A dissemination workshop on the Humanities and Education Required Courses (HERCs), hosted by the College of Humanities, was held on Wednesday, December 13th, 2023, at Maison Française, in the Reginald Amonoo Building. The Departments of French and Modern Languages of the College of Humanities, University of Ghana’s School of Languages have relaunched the multilingual translation office Transbureau. The Transbureau, which has been in operation since 2004, has been relaunched for the purpose of increasing its visibility and also to advertise its essential services in languages to society.
