At the College of Humanities, we are committed to nurturing critical thinking, fostering creative expression, and encouraging a deep appreciation for the diverse dimensions of human life. Our programs in Social science, Arts, Performing arts, Law, Business and Languages are designed to challenge, inspire, and equip our students with the skills and knowledge needed to navigate and contribute to an increasingly complex global audience. The college houses research institutes and centres geared towards producing cutting-edge research and postgraduate training. We provide a holistic toolbox for dealing with society’s problems by building the right human capabilities and generating the needed knowledge for formulating precise policies and strategies.
The College contributes to the structural transformation of Africa by enhancing the human resources needed to develop innovative approaches to address the nexus of factors affecting global development. Our research, teaching and extension services relates to the Sustainable Development Goals and the AU’s Agenda 2063, which define Africa and Ghana’s developmental aspirations. With a vibrant history of research collaboration with institutions across the world, funded by major research foundations, the College contributes immensely to the production of knowledge, refinement of policies and generation of simple solutions to everyday problems of Africa and the world.
