College of Humanities Launches 2nd Annual Report and College Handbooks

The College of Humanities, University of Ghana (UG) has officially launched its 2nd Annual Report along with two handbooks for College Academic Affairs Officers and the Promotion of Academic Senior Members. The launch event, which took place at the foyer of the Cedi Conference Centre, was attended by Deans, Directors and Heads of Departments within the college, members of University management, as well as faculty and staff from units across the University of Ghana.

During the launch, Prof. Daniel Frimpong Ofori, Provost of the College of Humanities, highlighted the significance of the handbooks and emphasised the role of both documents in expediting and enhancing the promotion process for academic senior members, as well as aiding both current and future college academic affairs teams in ensuring the streamlined and effective management of examiners' boards and graduation processes. The authors of both handbooks, Mrs. Susan Okan (Handbook for College Academic Affairs Officers) and Ms. Regina Enyonam Adabgedu (Handbook for Promotion of Academic Senior Members), were each given an opportunity to speak to their respective handbooks and provide a gist of the contents for the audience.
The Provost of the College of Humanities, Prof. Daniel Frimpong Ofori, then presented and unveiled the College's Second Annual Report. The Provost was supported by Dr. Sheena Lovia Boateng, the College Communications Coordinator, who provided an overview of the contents of the Annual Report. The Provost also launched several special college initiatives; the CoH Provost Dashboard, which provides a consolidated picture of all faculty/staff/student data as well as finance and other CoH functions;  and the College of Humanities Senior/Junior Staff Handover Form, which is designed to efficiently manage the exit processes (transfer, retirement, resignation, all types of leave,  etc.) of Junior and Senior staff in the College of Humanities to maintain continuity, retain crucial knowledge, and minimize disruption following staff departures.

Subsequently, Mr. Benedict Fosu Adjei, College Secretary, College of Humanities, thanked all members of the College Secretariat for their hard work and efforts in completing the annual report and the handbooks, both of which are the first since the establishment of the college, as well as the other college special initiatives. The vote of thanks was then given by Ms. Regina Enyonam Adagbedu.
