The College of Humanities, has in conjunction with the Careers and Counselling Centre,organised an orientation workshop for Spanish students of the Department of Modern Languages at the Maison Française Conference Hall.
The orientation comes in the wake of the recent signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the University of Ghana (UG) and the Spain-Ghana Chamber of Commerce (SGCC) to develop the skills of students learning Spanish through internships.

The orientation workshop was attended by faculty, National Service Personnel, L300 and L400 Spanish students who had applied to be considered for internships.
The workshop was facilitated by Prof. Daniel Frimpong Ofori, Provost of the College of Humanities, Prof. IldikoCsajbok-Twerefou, Head, Department of Modern Languages, Dr. Joanna Boampong, Senior Lecturer, Director of the Centre for Latin American Studies and Ms. Edwina Paintsil of the Careers and Counselling Centre.
The Facilitators made presentations on workplace practices, norms and behaviours including professionalism, ethics, work attitudes, sexual harassment and corruption. The students were encouraged to use the opportunity to learn as much as they can and to serve as worthy ambassadors of the University of Ghana.
