Professor Mary Setrana,  Director, Centre for Migration Studies, UG and  Chair of Forced Displacement in West Africa together with  partners from the African Union’s African Centre for the Study and Research on Migration (ACSRM) and Uppsala University, Sweden, paid a courtesy call on the Provost,  College of Humanities. The ACSRM was represented by the Director, Dr. Ibrahima Dia while Uppsala University was represented by Dr. Soorej Jose Puthoopparambil.

The Centre for Migration Studies, at the College of Humanities in the University of Ghana held a conference on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, themed: “Rebalancing the views and policies on migration”. The event was aimed at addressing concerns and promoting fairness between migrants and their host nations. In her welcome address, Prof. Mary Boatemaa Setrana, Director of the Centre for Migration Studies, encouraged attendees to share their narratives of migration freely.

The Provost of College of Humanities, Prof. Daniel Frimpong Ofori has advocated the Protection of Migrant Rights by Security Agencies, during a capacity building workshop held at the Centre for Migration Studies (CMS) on Migration Management and Migrant Rights.
