Introduction: 
The Centre for Teaching and Learning Innovation (CTLI), University of Ghana, invites early career faculty from diverse academic disciplines who are seeking to enhance their skills and confidence in writing for publication to a two-day workshop on Writing to Publish. For early career faculty members, navigating the complexities of academic writing and publishing can be daunting. Therefore, the workshop aims to provide essential guidance and practical strategies to empower early career faculty in effectively writing and publishing their research.  The sessions will be interactive, including presentations, discussions, and hands-on exercises. There will also be opportunities for participants to receive constructive feedback on their writing from not only the resource persons but also their peers in a supportive environment.

Date: April 17-18, 2024
Venue: In person (To be announced)

Objectives:
1. Equip early career faculty with the knowledge and skills necessary to produce high-quality research manuscripts.
2. Familiarize participants with the publication process, including selecting appropriate journals, understanding peer review, and responding to reviewer feedback.
3. Provide practical tips and tools for enhancing writing productivity and overcoming common writing challenges.
4. Foster a supportive community among early career faculty for collaboration and peer feedback.

Key Topics:
Over the two-day period, the workshop will cover the following topics: 
1. Understanding the academic publishing landscape   
2. Crafting a compelling manuscript   
3. Navigating the peer review process   
4. Overcoming writer’s block and writing effective paragraphs
5. Achieving critical voice: stance and engagement strategies

Expected Outcomes:
