The Provost, Prof. Daniel Frimpong Ofori has received the final report from the Chairperson of the College of Humanities Cloth Design and Production Committee, Dr. Joana Boampong. The Committee was established by the Provost in October 2022 to design and produce a cloth for the College of Humanities. The committee has since its inception, worked assiduously to fulfill its mandate, as shown in previous reports detailing milestones of the cloth design and production process. This final report kickstarts the processes for the printing, presentation (outdooring) and sale of the new College of Humanities cloth, expected to be completed in early 2023.

The new cloth represents the core values and attributes of the college and is intended to enhance the visibility of the College both within the university community and beyond. In his remarks, the Provost indicated that the college cloth would be a great addition to the College’s identity and culture and expressed his appreciation to the committee for their hard work. Other members of the College of Humanities Cloth Design and Production Committee are Dr. Justice Quainoo, Department of English; Dr. Margaret Ismaila, Department of Theatre Arts; Dr. Raphael Odoom, Department of Marketing and Entrepreneurship; Dr. Hasiyatu Abubakari, Institute of African Studies and Ms. Hannah Wilson, Assistant Registrar, Accra City Campus. The Chairperson of the Committee handed over the report to the Provost at a brief presentation ceremony in the Office of the Provost on December 8th, 2022.
